MAG310 Series 3-Axis Magnetoresistive Sensors
Accurate measurement of toolface angle, wellbore inclination, and azimuth is fundamental for well trajectory control in directional drilling and MWD systems. The MAG310 series is engineered for continuous downhole operation under high temperature, vibration, and shock. Serving as the core sensing unit for geomagnetic orientation, it delivers long-term stable and repeatable spatial attitude data.
Engineering Features
- Stable Magnetic Sensing Core: Utilizes Anisotropic Magneto-Resistive (AMR) technology with high sensitivity, low noise, and good linearity. Integrated Flip Coil periodically resets the sensor to suppress magnetic hysteresis and remanence. Maintains geomagnetic vector measurement consistency at temperatures up to 175 °C.
- Vibration-Resistant Structure and Signal Chain Optimization: Rigid-Flex PCB mechanically decouples the sensor from the signal conditioning circuit, absorbing high-frequency vibrations and transient shocks. Analog front-end and high-resolution ADC are co-located for local digitization, minimizing sensitivity to noise and electromagnetic interference along analog signal paths.
